ContemporaryCeramicColumn
Technical University of Darmstadt, 2024
Using the example of a column as an element of classical architecture, various surface treatments for 3D-printed ceramic components were investigated as part of this research. Each column segment represents a different post-processing technique and is in turn divided into three faces. While the rear side is flat, an undulating and a tessellated surface were produced on each of the two front sides, as can often be found in contemporary, digitally created architectural ornamentation.
